freaks and geeks

I had recently watch the pilot episode of freaks and geeks. I thought the episode that the episode was a good one there were a lot of examples of the theory's that we learned about. I think that the that the dad has most of the power in the episode. He has all of the power because the kids listen to him and this is most like the conflict theory that was developed by Karl Marx.
When I was watching freaks and geeks I also saw that there was some examples of Emile Durkheim's theory the functional theory. There was A few groups in the episode of freaks and geeks there was the "cool" kids who were the kids that were good at sports and were mean to the nerdy kids. There was the nerdy kids that did well in school and were not very good at sports. and then there was the drop outs that didn't do their school work and that were failing in almost all of there classes.
The important symbols in the episode is that there are many kinds of groups of people. Some of the groups of people can blend and talk to each other and then there are some groups that cant blend and cant work together at all. I think that every body should be them selves but they should also have a variety of friends.
